Hall Lane is an active church with a wide age range attending morning worship.  We meet together for worship every Sunday morning at 10.30am. Our worship can be led by our own Minister, Rev Phil Snelson, local preachers from the circuit or by members of our worship group. Holy Communion is available every month and everyone is welcome at the Lord's Table.  Once each month our morning worship takes the form of a prayer meeting, each one is presented in a different way by a members of the congregation who are felt led to share in this way.

There are other opportunities to take part in worship at Hall Lane. There is always an act of worship at the beginning of our Ladies Fellowship meetings held every month on a Wednesday evening, with a devotion, hymn/song and a time of prayer. At Easter, harvest and Christmas the evening is taken over with a service of celebration by one of our ladies or an invited guest.

The ethos at Hall Lane has always been very strongly mission-based and working in and with the local community has always been very important to us.  Our ladies group and lunch club are particularly well attended. We have an active social calendar and support a different charity each year.  Every month families come together for bible-based activities at our Messy Church on a Sunday afternoon and every Friday morning during term time a toddler group takes place with help from members of the congregation.

Hall Lane Methodist Church opened in 1967 and has been a vibrant Christian fellowship ever since. The building has changed over the years and has been extended and improved to meet the needs of our congregation and the work that we feel called to carry out in the name of Jesus.  Both the main church and the community room are fitted with an induction loop and microphones. There are disabled toilet facilities and ramped access to the church.  The building is well used by our community with slimming groups, needlework classes, U3A meetings, an exercise class and a pre-school group all making use of our facilities.

We are very aware as a Christian fellowship of our call to share the good news with our friends, neighbours and everyone we meet. We hold fetes, fairs, festivals and events which are all mission opportunities, allowing us to share the good news with the local community in a fun, non-threatening way.
